Dorje Drolö Dzogchen Transmission: what's included, prerequisites and where to find recordings

Modified on Mon, 2 Nov at 1:24 PM

The year-long Dorje Drolö Dzogchen Transmission has two parts: online courses and live sessions in Vajrayana Online, and online retreats registered separately on Tergar Events.

What's included

  • Courses and live sessions are part of your Vajrayana Online subscription, as long as you meet the prerequisites. To subscribe, go to vajrayana.tergar.org/join.
  • Retreats aren't included in a Vajrayana Online subscription. Register and pay for them at events.tergar.org.

You can take part in either part on its own. The courses don't require the retreats, and the retreats don't require the courses, though each supports the other.

Prerequisites

The first online course, Voices of Dzogchen, is open to everyone. The three online retreats and the 11-month immersion course, including all live sessions, have prerequisites. You need to meet one of these:

  • you've attended a Tergar Path of Liberation Level 2 in-person retreat with Mingyur Rinpoche or Khenpo Kunga, or
  • you've received ngöndro transmission and nature of mind pointing out in person from a qualified lineage holder, and have at least 5 years of regular meditation practice

If you don't meet these, the year-long Bardos program is open to everyone. Find it on the Transmissions page.

How to join the course

The Dorje Drolö Dzogchen Immersion course is restricted. After joining Vajrayana Online, log in and fill in the form on the course page to confirm your prerequisites. More details are on the transmission page.

Live session recordings

Recordings are inside the course, in the lesson for each week. Each week's sessions are uploaded the following week.

  1. Log in to vajrayana.tergar.org.
  2. Open Dorje Drolö Dzogchen Immersion from My Courses, or from Courses in the top menu.
  3. Click Enter course.
  4. Open the lesson labeled with the week you're looking for.

Practice images and prayers

The prayers and practice images Khenpo Kunga shares in the weekly teachings are collected in one PDF. Open the course, go to the Course Materials lesson and download Course Practice Images and Prayers. It's updated each week.
