What is the difference between an event and a retreat?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 12:49 PM

Events and retreats differ mainly in length and depth.

  • Events typically run over 1–2 days, with roughly 1–4 hours of sessions each day.
  • Retreats run longer — usually 3–4 days — with up to around 9 hours of sessions each day, and include a fuller mix of teachings, practice sessions, Q&A, and group discussion.

Each event or retreat page shows a detailed schedule in your local time zone so you can see exactly what to expect.
